2022-2023 Worland Warrior Basketball Begins

The Warriors Basketball team began the 2022-2023 season Monday, November 21st.

Worland returns 3 All-State Basketball Players Seniors Carter Clark, Brock Douzenis, and Court Gonsalez.

With the Seniors Kade Weber and Landen Gilmore, the Warriors have experience in the lineup.

Both Weber and Gilmore are All-State athletes as well, Weber in Football, Gilmore in Golf.

Expectations are high for the Worland Warriors.

Worland will start the season at the ReMax Invite in Gillette on the 8th of December.

They will play in 3 preseason tournaments that include the ReMax, the Winter Classic in Rawlins, and the Big Horn Shootout in Powell and Cowley.

Worland will play 7 home games this season beginning January 20th in a Conference opener against Lovell.

Powell, Sheridan, Mountain View, Lyman, Thermopolis, and Buffalo will all be at the newly-rentivated Warrior Gymnasium.

Road games include Cody, Thermopolis, Powell, Lovell, and Lander.

Worland staying in the Big Horn Basin for the majority of the season, only heading to Lander on February 18th.

The Warriors compete in the Northwest Quad which includes Powell, Lovell, and Thermopolis.

They are in the West Conference which also includes Mountain View, Lyman, Lander, and Pinedale.

This year’s Regionals are in Mountain View March 2nd-4th.

State is in Casper at the Ford Wyoming Center March 9th-11th.
