40 Year Old Cold Case Solved in Jackson

Written by on November 6, 2017

A convicted rapist has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault that occurred more than 40 years ago in Wyoming.
Donald Pack Jr. changed his plea Friday in Jackson. The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that Pack reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in which he would plead guilty to two counts of rape in exchange for charges of aggravated burglary and burglary being dropped.
Pack is accused of raping several women in Jackson in the mid-1970s, but evidence linking him to the crimes wasn’t found until 2015. He was arrested at his Cheyenne home last December. Pack has a previous rape conviction in Sublette County from the mid-1970s.
State District Judge Marvin L. Tyler accepted the change of plea and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
