All-State/All-Conference Honors for Cody and Area Football teams

All-State and All-Conference Football honors have been announced. Over the weekend, the Wyoming Coaches association released the All-State honors, while the All-Conference honors are voted on by head coaches. Today, we take a look at what Cody and area athletes earned post-season accolades, starting with All-State. To be named All-State, one must have been voted First Team All-Conference.

The Cody Broncs had 11 players earn All-State honors (that’s the most in Class 3A). They were: Drew Trotter, WR. Jonny Williams, OL. Danny Becker, OL. Luke Talich, QB. Chaz Cowie, RB. Daniel Gorman, DL. Jace Grant, DL. Remy Broussard, LB. Jackson Schroeder, LB. Grayson Beaudrie, LB. Matt Nelson, DB.

Other area Class 3A Schools with All-State Athletes includes Powell with seven and Worland with two. Those are below:

Powell- Sam Whitlock, TE. Sheldon Shoopman, OL. Reed Smith, RB. Lane Shramek, DL. Toran Graham, LB. Zach Ratcliff, DB. Hawkin Sweeney, Specialist.

Worland- Kade Weber, QB. Jorey Anderson, DB.

And now let’s take a look at Class 2A and 1A area teams with All-State honorees.

Starting with Class 2A, Lovell had six players earn All-State honors and they are: Sam Cornia, Casen Hiser, Quinn Lindsay, Dallen Mangus, Kobe May and Amos Monterde.

Meanwhile, Adley Coyne of Thermopolis would also earn All-State.

Lineman of the year in 2A was Quinn Lindsay.

Moving over to Class 1A 9-man…

Area athletes earning All-State in the 9-man ranks include:

Shoshoni- Trey Fike, Cannon Campbell, Alex Mills, Nathan Cousineau (All-State in 2020), Dom Jarvis, Pehton Truempler, Korbin Dewitt, Duke Gibbel and Jaxon Stanley.

Rocky Mountain- Carsyn Weber, Kendrick Beckman, Russell Crosby, Nate Minemeyer (All-State in 2020), Dylen Clendenen, Collin Haslem and Tyson Christiansen.

Others earning All-State from area 9-Man schools include: Garret Ellis of Riverside and Jake Schlattmann from Greybull.

Alex Mills of Shoshoni was voted Defensive Player of the Year.

Nate Minemeyer of Rocky Mountain was voted Lineman of the Year.

Coaching Staff of the Year went to Shoshoni.

And now for a look at the 6-man ranks and area athletes that garnered All-State.

Meeteetse- Dace Bennett (All-State in 2020), Kalvin Erickson (All-State in 2020), Mickle Ogden and Joseph Pina.

Seth Wardell of Burlington would also earn All-State.

Dace Bennett of Meeteetse would be voted Offensive Player of the Year in 1A 6-man.

With that, let’s now take a look at what Cody and area athletes would garner All-Conference honors.

3A All-Conference:

Garnering Class 3A Coach of the Year is Cody Broncs Head Coach Matt McFadden and the Cody Staff.

2A All-Conference:

From Lovell: Sam Cornia, Casen Hiser, Quinn Lindsay, Dallen Mangus, Kobe May, Amos Monterde, Ben Nichols and Preston Nichols.

From Thermopolis: Austin Barrall, Adley Coyne, Roedy Farrell, Eli McCumber and Gavin Shumway.

Quinn Lindsay of Lovell is Lineman of the Year in the 2A West.

1A 9-Man All-Conference:

From Greybull: Irving Castro, Aiden Reece and Jake Schlattmann.

From Riverside: Porter Duncan, Garret Ellis-Rudd, Oscar Martinez and Ty Strohschein.

From Rocky Mountain: Kendrick Beckman, Tyson Christiansen, Dylen Clendenen, Ethan Crawford, Russell Crosby, Collin Haslem, Nate Minemeyer, Ben Simmons and Carsyn Weber.

From Shoshoni: Cannon Campbell, Breaden Cash, Nathan Cousineau, Kordin Dewitt, Trey Fike, Duke Gibbel, Dom Jarvis, Tucker Maddock, Alex Mills, Jaxon Stanley and Pehton Truempler.

Pehton Truempler of Shoshoni was voted Offensive Player of the Year in the 9-Man West.

Alex Mills of Shoshoni was voted Defensive Player of the Year in the 9-Man West.

Nate Minemeyer of Rocky Mountain was voted Lineman of the Year in the 9-Man West.

Coach of the Year went to the Shoshoni Staff in the 9-Man West.

1A 6-man All-Conference:

From Burlington: Brac Walker and Seth Wardell.

From Meeteetse: Dace Bennett, Jonathan Blessing, Kalvin Erickson, Mickle Ogden and Joseph Pina.
