The Cody Bronc wrestling team took to their home mat for one final time in 2021 on Tuesday as they hosted Lovell and Powell for senior night. On a night where their three seniors: Jonas Mickelson, Karsten and Keaton Stone, were honored the Bronc grapplers would come away with a split vs. their opponents.

The Broncs would defeat Lovell 48-36 before falling to Powell 46-33.

I caught up with Bronc senior wrestler Keaton Stone who talks about being able to complete the season, for one final time on the mats.

“It’s been a great season. I’m just glad we could have it. You know, we got through wrestling which is awesome and I didn’t know if we were going to have wrestling or not because it’s a very contact sport but we’ve been all good so far. Haven’t really had any cancellations. Just three weeks left. Looks like we’re going to have a full season which would be awesome.”

The Cody Bronc wrestlers will conclude the regular season portion of their schedule this weekend as they’re on the road at Pinedale on Saturday. The Broncs will be taking part in the 3A West Regional at Riverton on Friday February 19th.
