Buffalo Bill Center of the West Holds Annual Holiday Open House Dec. 3rd and 4th

Written by on November 23, 2022

The Buffalo Bill Center of the West is welcoming the community and surrounding region to its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The event is free, but those attending are encouraged to share the holiday spirit by bringing a non-perishable food item or a still-packaged toy. The donations can be placed in the collection boxes at the main entrance. The Center will distribute the food donations through Cody food pantries and toys through Toys for Tots.

The Center decorates for the holidays and serves complimentary hot cocoa and candy canes during the Open House. All five museums are open to explore, and Santa Claus enjoys visiting them too. Attendees can find him roving through the Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on each day.

The Center’s Points West Market offers great storewide savings during the Open House, and those who make purchases of $50 or more will receive a free poster.

This year, the Center is pleased to welcome the Park County Library’s Mobile Outreach Van on Sunday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The van will be parked in the front parking lot for visitors to stop by and learn more about this new initiative to provide library services outside the library’s walls.

NOTE: From December 1 – February 28, the Center operates on its winter schedule, open Thursday ─ Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and closed Monday – Wednesday.
