Cody Broncs Demolish Jackson for Class 3A State Championship

Written by on November 12, 2021

The Cody Broncs are State Champions for a second year in a row after knocking off Jackson, 41-24 Friday night.

The Broncs made history with the win, finishing the season a perfect 11-0, the first undefeated season in program history.

The Broncs have won back-to-back state championships and this is their fourth state title in the last eight years.

It was a 14-10 ball game at the half, with Cody leading but the Cody Broncs made a statement in the second half.

Cody would pick off Jackson’s Quarterback, Sadler Smith, four times in the second half with three of them being pick six’s. Matt Nelson had three interceptions in the game, one of which was a 59 yard pick 6 while another was a 100-yard pick 6. It was Remy Broussard’s 89-yard pick 6 that began the onslaught for Cody.
