In the first game of the day the two teams would put up a whopping 29 runs with Casper garnering the 15-14 win.

Casper got on the board early and Cody found themselves down 15-5 in the bottom of the 5th. That’s when the rally began.

The Cubs would plate 5 in the 5th and scored 4 more in the 6th to cut the lead to one.

Sometimes all you can ask for is a chance and the Cubs got just that in the bottom of the 7th when they loaded up the bases but the Drillers came away victorious.

Errors by both teams played a big factor in the contest. The Cubs racked up 10 hits in the contest with Eli Johnston leading the way with 3.

The Cubs would enact a little vengeance in game 2.

The Cubs got things going in the bottom of the second as Miles Bailey brought home Jace Jarrett on an RBI single and then Wyatt Carlson smashed a triple to bring home Bailey and it was all Cody from there.

The Cubs scored 4 in the 3rd and added 6 more in the 4th.

Every Cub in the line-up would collect a hit in the contest.

Trey Schroeder was excellent earning his 5th win of the season, goin 5 innings and gave up 7 hits while striking out 4.

One of the biggest bright spots of the day was Eli Johnston combing to go 4-7 on the day with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI. Wyatt Carlson had a big day as well hitting a double and a triple.

Following all the action the Cubs are now 23-16 on the season, 4-0 in conference play.

The Cubs are off for the 4th of July holiday weekend and will return to action on Tuesday, July 5th, when they travel to Cowley for a conference double header vs. Lovell.
