Cody High School is seeking to revitalize its partnership opportunities with local businesses by placing a high-tech scoreboard on Spike Vannoy Field.
Next fall, the Cody Broncos football won’t be the only thing looking good on Spike Vannoy Field. Next year, a new state-of-the-art scoreboard could showcase the game and local businesses.
Cody High School has launched a website promoting new partnership opportunities for football games and other events on the football field. The centerpiece of the endeavor is a video scoreboard fabricated by Daktronics to replace the current, antiquated board currently in place.
Daktronics is an electronics company that specializes in video displays and scoreboards headquartered in Brookings, South Dakota. The company has furnished scoreboards for several M.L.B., N.B.A., and N.F.L. teams and several Olympics.
The overall cost of the new scoreboard will be around $140,000. School officials hope to pay off the board – with the help of sponsors and donors – within five years.
Cody Hgh School sees the new scoreboard as a venue to increase student opportunities and gain more revenue through sponsorships.
“Cody High School is excited to present this amazing opportunity to local businesses. The partnership with Cody will bring creative advertising to your business as well as give your local business an opportunity to further students’ career paths in areas such as live video production, writing, graphic design, and video editing, and more!”
