Cody Prescription Drop Off Day Success

The Cody Enterpise reports that the Cody Police Department collected roughly 122 pounds of prescription drugs as part of the recent DEA Prescription Take Back Day program.
These unused or expired prescription medications often find their way into the wrong hands, or are deposed of in an unsafe manner.
The police department accepts year-round drug disposal at the Park County Law Enforcement Center. This collection site is located in the main lobby; it is available 24/7, and disposals can be made anonymously with no questions asked.
The following items CAN be accepted: Prescription medications, Prescription patches, Prescription ointments, Over-the-counter medications, Vitamins and Pet medications.
The following items are not accepted: Needles and sharps, thermometers, Oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances and pressurized containers.
