Concert Raises Thousands for St. Jude

The concert production of the decade is over – several thousand people from all over the Bighorn Basin filled the arena floor and grandstands at Stampede Park in Cody yesterday afternoon for the free concert that featured country music superstar Clint Black.
But the concert was meant for more than just entertainment. Thousands of dollars were raised through individual donations and a live auction. Larry and Susan Patrick, who own Legend Communications, the parent company of the Big Horn Radio Network, will be matching the total amount of money raised at the concert and sending in a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research hospital.
Larry Patrick pointed out that they chose to tie the fundraiser to the biggest event of Cody’s summer – the centennial of the Cody Stampede Rodeo.
The event was coordinated by multiple agencies in Cody, including the Cody Stampede, the staff at the Big Horn Radio Network, the Cody Police Department and other volunteers who made the evening possible.
