Former Yellowstone Quake Hockey Forward Dylan Rumpke has announced that he’s signed on to continue his hockey career at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Rumpke, from Blacklick, Ohio, is the latest to join the hockey program.
Rumpke led the Quake in points all three seasons as a member of the club.
Rumpke led the Quake in points during the 2020-21 season with 21 goals and 35 assists.
During the 2019-2020 season, Rumpke finished with 75 points (43 goals, 32 assists). His goals and points set a record for the Yellowstone Quake and helped them to a first round sweep in the playoffs before COVID halted their season.
Rumpke joins former Quake Hockey players Michael Allman, Mason Stewart and Nick Ottenbacher on the roster. He plans to study kinesiology.
Aquinas College competes in the NAIA division.
According to Mary VonKronenberger, Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Aquinas, Head Coach Jordan Permoda had this to say about the signing.
“We’re thrilled to have Dylan. We were looking for depth down the middle this year and Dylan is going to help us in that area. He has a great level of experience from junior hockey and I’m confident he will make an impact early on.”
