Four NWC Female Athletes Earn All-Region Nods

Four Northwest College Women’s Athletes have been named to their respective NJCAA All-Region Teams.

For Basketball Samiyah Worrell and Sydney Prather were both selected to the Region IX All-Region basketball teams while Riley Aiono was selected to the All-Defensive Team.

Worrell finished the 2021 season scoring 14.6 ppg, 4.7 rbg, 2.7 asp and 2 steals a game. Prather averaged 8.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg and had a 3.1 A/TO ratio. Aiono finished No. 1 in blocks with 35 for the season and pulled down just over six rebounds per contest.

In addition to the three basketball players Trapper Volleyball’s Libero Paige Weimer has been named to the Region IX All-Region Volleyball team.

Weimer was 16^th in the Nation in Digs with 419. She averaged five digs per set which ranked 21^st in the nation and was 35^th in the Nation with 32 aces.

Each player was selected by Region IX coaches.
