Free Clint Black Concert Just a Week Away

It’s just a week away.
The Clint Black Concert, a free event being put on by the Big Horn Radio Network, will take place a week from today at 7 p.m. at the Cody Stampede Grounds.
Larry and Susan Patrick, who are funding the event, have announced the opening acts for the evening. At 6 p.m., Carin Mari, the lead guitarist and a vocalist for Michael Martin Murphy, will perform, followed by an auction at 6:30. At 6:45, Nashville musician and songwriter Craig Campbell will take the stage, followed by the main event, country music superstar Clint Black.
While the event is free to everyone, there are a number of passes still available for the arena floor, which allows concert goers to bring their own chairs and blankets. Otherwise, attendees will be seated in the grandstands.
Because of the limited parking, there will be a number of pick up locations around town, including the Center of the West, the Walmart parking lot, the Holiday Inn, the Irma Hotel and the Ponderosa Campground. The Cody Trolley and the Cody Nite Rodeo buses will provide the transportation, at a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for kids 9-14, while kids under 8 are free.
