Old Timers and Early Day Women of Cody

For his November “Local Lore with Bob Richard” program at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Bob welcomes special guests Al and Pete Simpson, who help him share great stories and photographs about Old Timers and Early Day Women of the Cody area. The event takes place on November 17th, 2022, from noon1 p.m. at the Coe Auditorium.

These three all have strong ties to the area going back many years. They know a tale or two about the old timers that have left their mark on Cody and beyond.

Alan K. Simpson, a retired U.S. Senator from Wyoming (R), is also the longest-standing member of the Center of the West’s Board of Trustees, which he joined in 1968, and was Chairman of the Board from 1999 – 2011. Peter K. Simpson is a University of Wyoming professor emeritus, former state legislator, and has been on the Center’s McCracken Research Library Advisory Board since 1997.

Following the program, Bob signs copies of his books at the Center’s Points West Market.

The Local Lore series is hosted and coordinated by the Center’s McCracken Research Library, with talks on the third Thursday of each month. The next program in the series takes place on November 17.
