Free Meals for Cody Youth This Summer

The Paul Stock Aquatics and Recreation Center has secured grant funding that will provide a free meal almost every weekday this summer to any child in the community who wants one.
Kim Quinn, Youth Coordinator for the Rec Center, says the money from the federally funded Summer Food Service Program allows any youth up to age 18 who visits the rec center almost any Monday through Friday this summer to receive a free lunch and afternoon snack – and they don’t even have to be a member.
In addition to the free lunches for community children, students whose parents sign them up for the Kidz on the Move program will also be receiving breakfast at no extra cost. Quinn says three organizations – the Albertson’s Foundation, the Food Research Action Center, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation – have teamed up to provide free breakfasts for Kidz on the Move participants from May 30 through August 18.
