Heritage Museum Opens Saturday

After years of planning, fundraising, construction and other delays, the Cody Heritage Museum will be opening its doors Saturday.
Members of the press were invited to a sneak peek event on Tuesday, and a special celebration for donors, members, sponsors and supporters will be held tomorrow from 3 to 7 p.m. at the historic DeMaris House on the corner of Sheridan and 11th Street. The museum will open to the public on Saturday at 10 a.m., beginning its regular hours, which will be from 10-4 Tuesday through Sunday.
Jenny Zink, a member of the all-volunteer board, told KODI’s Partyline audience yesterday that it’s rewarding that the wait is finally over.
Board members are continuing to raise funds for the museum’s upkeep by selling flags for the upcoming Field of Honor, which will be posted beginning June 9th and stay up through Flag Day, June 14th. Anyone interested in purchasing a flag is encouraged to call Jenny Zink at 578-7118.
Zink adds that the Board will be hosting a Grand Opening event for the Heritage Museum in July.
