Highway Projects To Cause Delays This Week

Several highway projects in the Big Horn Basin will impact traffic this busy holiday week.
A chip sealing project between Lovell and Cowley will take place this week on the $11.7 million-dollar Sage Creek highway and bridge improvement project. Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin says motorists should expect delays and reduced speed limits during chip sealing. He adds that Shoshone River bridge improvements are continuing, and traffic will soon be moving across the river via the outside of each side of the bridge.
And paving is under way east of Greybull near Shell on Highway 14. Miller says traffic delays of up to 20 minutes are expected on the $2.3 million-dollar pavement rehabilitation project.
