The Thermopolis Independent Record reports during an assembly Tuesday afternoon at the Hot Springs County high school auditorium, the Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals (WASSP) recognized Breez Longwell Daniels as the 2019-20 Wyoming Principal of the Year.
After receiving her award Daniels spoke to the assembled high school students. Daniels shared how she graduated from Thermopolis 31 years ago. “I don’t think many people get the privilege of being a principal in their home town,” she said. “I don’t think that happens very often.”
Daniels also said she’s invested in the future of the students and wants to help them succeed in whatever path they choose beyond high school.
Daniels is now in the running for National Principal of the Year, which will be decided in September.
