Senior Lead Lady Warriors Volleyball Head to State

Seniors lead the way for the Lady Warriors. Seven of the ten players to be exact. The Worland Varsity Volleyball Team is headed to the State tournament in Casper this Friday. They will play the Rawlins Lady Outlaws in a rematch of last seasons State Final which the Lady Warriors weren’t able to come away with the title. Hearing from the elusive and confident Darla Hernandez as she goes into the final matches of her High School career.

The Worland High School Senior Libero Timberlynn Crippen. She talked about the grit of not only her teammates but the kids of Worland and how resilient they are.

One of the Leaders of the team is Senior Middle Hitter Denali Jones. Her perspective on team rankings is very refreshing and mature.

Finally Outside Senior Hitter Payton Julsen describes how hard work was able to payoff and put her on the court.

The other Seniors include Ashley Schriber, Ajiah Montoya, and Katie Baumstarck. Juniors Carly Yule and Maren Cottrell along with Sophmore Sophia Scheuerman.

The Lady Warriors are confident their experience as well as their depth will take them to a State Title. Good Luck to these young ladies as they travel to Casper for a 10am match with the Rawlins Lady Outlaws who Worland lost to 25-20, 17-25, 25-22, 23-25, 14-16. “We’re not the same team.” Says Head Coach Brittney Miller. These girls believe.

Other 10am matches include: Pinedale vs Buffalo, Mountain View vs Wheatland and Douglas vs Lander Valley.
