Worland Swimmers Bring Home Hardware

The Worland Lady Warriors Swim team returns with State hardware. The 200 meter medley relay with swimmers Kylie Warren, Annalisa Newell, Ella Stanek, and Kelli Frimml was the top finish for the Worland swim team. They would finish 6th in the event.

At the 3A Wyoming State Swimming Meet hosted by Laramie High School. Worland would finish 8th overall. Green River would win the overall team standings. Cody, Powell, Buffalo and State defending Champion Lander Valley would finish the top 5 teams. Lyman, Sublette County (Pinedale, Big Piney) Worland, Douglas and Rawlins would round out the top 10 team finishes.

Senior Kylie Warren would be the most recognized Lady Warrior at the State Meet with top finishes. 8th as a team in the 400 meter free style medley relay, 12th in the 100 meter breaststroke, 8th in the 100 meter fly, and 6th with her team in the 200 meter medley relay. Ella Stanek, also a Senior, would finish high in the 400 meter free style medley relay, 8th in the 100 meter backstroke, 12th in the 100 meter fly, and was on the 6th place 200 meter medley relay. Anna Newell a third Senior for the Lady Warriors was also recognized with her team in the 400 meter free style relay, the 200 meter free style relay, and her 6th place finish with the 200 medley relay team. Elena Gunderson who finished on the 8th place relay teams in both 400 free style relay, and the 200 free style relay. Junior Ashanti Pedraza and Freshman Erika Manahan finished out the 8th place 200 meter free style team. Kelli Frimml also swam with the 6th place 200 meter medley relay team. The Lady Warriors girls swim team has concluded their 2020 season.
