Lander Rolls to 25th Consecutive State Swim Title

The Cody Bronc Swim team took part in the Class 3A State swim meet over the weekend in Laramie. While the Cody Broncs would perform admirably the weekend belonged to the Lander Valley Tigers who captured their 25th consecutive State Championship. Lander won nine of the 12 events.

Cody’s Joseph Killpack would finish 6th in the 100 yard back, the highest placement for any Cody swimmer. His time of 58.05 is a new school record, breaking the mark that was set in 1994.

The Broncs would finish 11th overall at the State Meet.

Taking a look at some of the individual performances for the Broncs:

Their 200 Yard Medley Relay team (Joseph Killpack, Bradley Fick, William Law, Trevor Freyder) finished with a time of 1:52.

Bradley Fick would finish the 200 Yard Free with a time of 2 minutes.

Cody’s 400 Yard Free Relay team (Joren Vipperman, Joseph Killpack, Trevor Freyder, Bradley Fick) finished with a time of 3:52.
