Written by on June 13, 2018

A Lovell man is dead following a tragic accident in downtown Powell Monday.
The Powell Police Department reports that at about 5 p.m., officers and medical personnel responded to a call in the area of East North Street and South Ferris Street, which said that a forklift had fallen over on its driver.
An investigation discovered that 22-year-old Kade Englert of Lovell was driving the forklift on East North Street and for reasons undisclosed, had swerved to the right. However, he overcorrected, which caused the forklift to flip on its side, and Englert was ejected from the driver’s seat.
When he was found by officers he was unconscious, although he was not pinned underneath the equipment. Bystanders were not able to detect a pulse, and CPR was administered. Englert was revived and taken to the Powell Hospital – however, the Police Department reports that he later passed away due to his injuries.
