A multi-agency law enforcement effort led to the arrest of three suspects on drug charges last Friday–according to a report from the Thermopolis Independent Record.
On August 30th–the Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Department of Criminal Investigation about a meth deal that was going to happen between Trevor W. Brinkerhoff–Brian K. Mackey and a Casper male subject.
Brinkerhoff and Mackey were stopped by authorities–and in addition a Thermopolis Police officer was on scene and contacted a third subject. During a pat down of that subject–identified as Adam Maggos–the officer found what he believed was a package of possibly illegal drugs. The substance was field tested and came back positive for methamphetamine–its weight was 8.1 grams.
Mackey–accoring to the article–admitted to transporting Brinkerhoff to Thermopolis to meet Maggos.
Brinkerhoff and Mackey are each charged with conspiracy to deliver meth and are jailed on $10,000 bonds. Maggos is charged with illegal possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to deliver and conspiracy to deliver meth, and is jailed on a $25,000 bond. All three subjects have preliminary hearings on Sept. 9
