Written by Chance Bond on March 9, 2022
Washakie County and the Washakie County Conservation District has plans to open a Public Access Area in the Big Horn River, south of Worland.
A Public Comment opportunity is available March 29, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the Worland Pubic Library for any county citizen to offer input regarding The Bighorn River Blue Way Water Trail. The proposed river trail would start at the Wedding of the Waters south of Thermopolis and end at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area in Lovell. The area provides opportunities for fishing, canoeing, boating and similar recreation. Learn more from our recent KWOR interview with Washakie County Commissioner and Chairman Fred Frandson:
Several booths will be set up for the Public Comment event, answering a variety of questions for citizens. See more about the Public Comment at the Washakie County Conservation District’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/
