The Northern Wyoming News reports that Rachel’s Challenge will be returning to Worland Middle and High School’s this coming Monday and Tuesday.
Rachel’s Challenge was set up 18 years ago by Rachel’s father Darrell, just two years after the Columbine High School mass shooting in 1999 in memory of Rachel Scott–the first of the 13 victims of the shooting.
The paper states that 6th graders will receive a modified version of the program this year–while the rest of the students participating will take in the same program as last year.
The program aims to encourage students to engage in small acts of kindness daily in order to help motivate everyone to look at their relationships with people they come into contact with daily.
The public is invited to an open event on Monday night at 7:00 P.M. at the Middle School Auditorium.
