Several Area Teams Top 5 in Latest Wyopreps Basketball Poll

The Latest Wyopreps Coaches and Media Basketball Poll has been released. There’s not much change in the girls poll from a week ago while the boys poll does see some movement.

Let’s take a look at the polls, starting on the girls side.

In Class 4A, you’re Cody Fillies remain the No. 2 ranked team. Cheyenne East is now a unanimous No. 1. Both teams remain undefeated on the season. Thunder Basin is thrid with Natrona County fourth and Campbell County makes their debut in the poll at No. 5.

In Class 3A, Douglas remains on top with Lyman at No. 2. Newcastle is now up to third with Pinedale fourth and Buffalo is fifth.

In Class 2A, there is no change from a week ago. Wyoming Indian is first with Moorcroft second. Rocky Mountain is third. Glenrock and Tongue River are four and five, respectability.

And in 1A, Burlington remains No. 3. Upton and Southeast are one and two. Cokeville is now fourth with Little Snake River No. 5.

And now a look at the boys rankings.

In Class 4A, there is a new No. 1 as Sheridan takes over the top spot. Thunder Basin falls to second which moves Kelly Walsh to three. Cheyenne East is four with Riverton and Cheyenne South in a tie for fifth.

In Class 3A, Worland remains No. 2, right behind Douglas who is first. Rawlins moves up to third with Buffalo now four. Lyman is fifth.

In Class 2A, Rocky Mountain is back up to No. 3. Pine Bluffs and Tongue River remain one and two. Wind River is now four. Big Horn is fifth.

And in 1A, Meetetse remains No. 5. Upton is still one with Dubois second. Cokeville is third with Saratoga fourth.
