Talich’s 4 TD’s Leads Cody Past Battle Tested Buffalo

The Cody Bronc Football team was in Buffalo on Friday as they took to the road for the first time this season, facing the Bison.

It was a wet, rainy battle as Buffalo proved to be a good test.

The Broncs came away with a hard fought 35-13 victory for their 19th straight win, dating back to 2020. The Broncs finish the non-conference season undefeated.

Luke Talich led the way for the Broncs, Friday night, accounting for 4 total touchdowns, 3 pass and 1 rush.

Cody would get on the board first, thanks to a 39 yard touchdown pass from Talich to Wilkins Radakovich.

Cody led 7-0 after one quarter.

Midway through the second, Talich again threw for a TD, this time to Remy Broussard.

Buffalo would answer, on a Blake Bell 62 yard touchdown run, the following drive.

Right before the half, Cody would execute a perfect drive that ate up about 4 minutes. Talich would

finish off the drive with an 8 yard touchdown run.

The Broncs led 21-7 at the half.

Buffalo would not back down. The Bison would open up the third with an interception that led to a 2 yard TD run by Will Hammond.

At the end of 3 it was Cody 21, Buffalo 13.

The Broncs would pull away in the fourth. Talich found Broussard for an 84 yard touchdown pass to begin the 4th and Grayson Beaudrie scored from 1 yard out to give the Broncs their third win of the season.

Talich was 22-29 through the air for about 300 yards, 3 TD’s and one interception. He also ran the ball 13 times for about 94 yards and 1 TD.

Remy Broussard had a breakout game. He ran the ball for about 22 yards on 5 carries. Had 3 catches for over 100 yards and 2 scores.

Radakovich finished with 6 catches and 1 TD.

Eli Pryor, Matt Nelson, Chase Hatch and Trey Thomasson all had catches.

Beaudrie had about 32 yards rushing and the 1 TD while Jackson Schroeder had about 41 yards rushing.

In all, the Broncs finished with about 500 total yards of offense.

With the win, Cody is now 3-0 on the season.

Up Next: The Broncs open conference play. They will travel to Jackson for a re-match of last year’s State Championship, on Friday, with kick-off at 5pm.
