Week Two Preview Warriors VS Broncs

The Worland Warriors will host the Cody Broncs on Friday Night at 7pm. The Broncs are currently ranked 2nd in Wyoming 3A football. Cody is the Defending 3A State Champions.

The Warriors played the Broncs twice last season, both in Cody.

The first game was a 42-6 Cody win. The Broncs ran 45 times for 234 yards and passed 18 times with 10 completions for 133 yards. 367 total yards on 63 plays.

Worland ran 30 times for 40 yards and passed 22 times with 13 completions.

The second game was a quarter final playoff game also in Cody. The broncs won 51-7.

Cody ran for 343 yards on 45 attempts and passed for 138 yards on 9 catches. The Broncs ran 63 plays for 481 yards.

The warriors ran 27 times for -1 yard and threw 20 passes with 12 completions for 140 yards. The Warriors ran 47 plays for 139 total yards.

The Broncs graduated All-Conference, All-State Line Backer and Wyoming 3A Defensive Player of the Year Nic Talich. Also All-State Quarterback Caleb Pryor, and All-State Running Back Cody Phillips. 2 Time All-State Tight End Keaton Stone also graduated.

The Quarterback for the Broncs this year is Luke Talich who threw for 114 yards last week in a 57-10 win over Riverton. With new Running Backs Chaz Cowie rushing for 115 yards on 7 carries and 2 touchdowns. Jack Schroeder, and Drew Trotter are also in the Bronc backfield.

Cody had a state high 554 yards on 59 plays last week against the Wolverines.

The Warriors had 245 yards on 32 plays last week against Powell.

Worland Wide Receiver Jorey Anderson had 104 yards receiving and a touchdown.
