Winter Farmer’s Market Approved at Cody City Council Meeting

Written by on February 22, 2017

The Cody City Council yesterday approved a winter farmer’s market that will be held in downtown Cody through May.

The Council last night heard from Molly Gould, who represented vendors who have not been able to sell their products the past few months at other regional markets due to inclement weather.

Gould said that there are at least 75 vendors who are interested in selling their products in Cody this winter, which at this time of year includes some vegetables, jams, baked goods and crafts. The market was approved to be held at the Bob Moore Parking Lot on Saturday mornings through May 13th.

At the meeting, Council also approved a request to close Sheridan Avenue on March 11th for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade; and authorized the Cody Pride Softball organization to hold a 5k/10k run on April 1st. Council approved the development plan for the Trailhead 3 Planned Unit Development, heard the second reading of several changes to zoning and contractor’s ordinances, and witnessed the swearing in of new Cody Police Officer Jason Potter.
