Worland Track And Field From The LA Kohnke In Powell

The Worland High School Track and Field team was in Powell Saturday for the Annual LA Kohnke Invite.

10 Teams were at the invite, most of the Big Horn Basin.

Cody, Powell, Lovell, Worland, Burlington, Thermopolis, Rocky Mountain, Ten Sleep, Greybull, and Meeteese.

Manaia Peterson Automatically Qualified for State in the Discus, Angel Ruelas in the 100 Meter Dash, and Dawson Utterback in the 110 Meter Hurdles.

The Boys Sprint Medley Team of Wyatt Dickinson, Jacob Jewell, Jack Bishop, and Harley Redding set a New School record.

As for the Worland results.

5 girls finished in the top 10 in the 100 Meter Dash, Kalistynn Crippen 2nd, Cherise Douzenis 3rd, Maddy Lloyd 5th, Shae Whitlock 8th, and Erika Manahan 9th.

Douzenis won the 200 Meter Dash outright.

In the Girls 400 Meter Shae Whitlock finished 3rd, Erika Manahan 7th, Maci Newell 8th, Lecsi Ramirez 9th, Brynlee Roady 10th, and Anna Gunderson 11th.

The Girls’ 800 Meter had Zena Tapia 5th and 2nd in the 1000 Meter.

Anna Richardson finished 3rd and Shae Whitlock 8th in the 100 Meter Hurdles.

Richardson also finished 4th in the 300 Meter Hurdles with Wynter Jones finishing 10th.

The Girls 4X100 Meter Relay of Maddy Lloyd, Kalistynn Crippen, Nyssa Leyva, and Erika Manahan finished 1st.

The Sprint Medley Team of Lloyd, Ramirez, Newell, and Tapia finished 2nd.

Douzenis finished 6th and Richardson finished 8th in the High Jump.

In the Girls Long Jump Manahan finished 2nd, Douzenis 11th, Jacy Fowler 13th, Roady 15th, and Mady Glanz 17th.

In the Triple Jump Glanz finished 2nd, Janie Barnes 6th, and Roady 10th.

Manaia Peterson got 2nd in both the discus and shot put.

The Girls finished 3rd overall at the Meet behind Powell and Cody.

Angel Ruelas finished 5th and Cale Cheatham was 12th in the 100 Meter Dash.

The 200 Meter had Ruelas finish 4th and Cheatham 6th.

The Boys 400 Meter had Chris Martinez 6th and Ty Miller 8th.

In the 800 Meter, Harley Redding was 3rd and Trajn Swalstad was 6th.

The 1600 Meter Swalstad was 2nd, Jack Bishop was 5th, and Redding was 8th.

Scottie Thomas finished 7th in the 3200 Meters.

In the 110 Meter Hurdles, Dawson Utterback was 5th, Noah Mitchell was 6th, and Wyatt Dickenson was 7th.

The Boys 4X100 meter Relay of Cheatham, Ethene Burns, Dickinson, and Ruelas finished 3rd.

Dickinson, Jewell, Bishop, and Redding finished 2nd in the 16  Sprint Medley Relay.

Canto Green finished 7th in the Pole Vault.

Cale Cheatham was 5th in the Long Jump Ruelas was 13th, Burns 14th, and Jewell 15th.

Baxter Crawford finished 11th in the Triple Jump.

Maddux Cole finished 11th in the Shot Put, and 13th in the Discus.

The Boys finished 4th overall behind Cody, Powell, and Lovell.
