Wyoming Weed and Pest Council to Host 78th Annual Fall Conference in Cody

The Wyoming Weed and Pest Council (WWPC) is announcing its 78th Annual Conference. The conference starts Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. and ends on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. in Cody, WY.

WWPC is comprised of 23 Weed and Pest Districts in the state of Wyoming. The overall mission is to provide “unified support for the integrated management of noxious weeds and pests,” WWPC writes.

The conference will go over successful and ongoing projects, funding opportunities, and continuing education in the weed and pest field, and members will conduct council business as required by state statutes. Additionally, the council will be considering adding the plant palmer amaranth to the state-designated weed list.

In addition to the conference, guests can attend a reception at the historic Buffalo Bill Cody Museum, visit the beautiful Yellowstone National Park and try fun attractions during their stay.
