Sheridan, Wyo., November 24, 2025—Bighorn National Forest staff are temporarily closing Cutler Nordic Ski trails off Highway 14 north of Dayton, Wyoming, for blasting on Nov. 25. For the safety of employees and visitors, please avoid the area until operations are complete.
The work will improve public access and trail conditions for grooming by removing rock and other debris from the trail corridor. Along with this project, trail grooming is accomplished through partnership with Black Mountain Nordic.
Signs will be posted in the area on the trail and at trailheads. For additional information on safety and closures, visit the forest website or Bighorn National Forest social media.
