Cody, Wyo. (Dec. 23, 2025) – Cody Regional Health is proud to announce a new partnership
with the Park County Libraries through its Books for Babies program, a meaningful initiative
designed to support early literacy and family bonding from the very first days of life.
Francie Coe, Outreach Coordinator for the Park County Library, recently visited Cody Regional
Health to meet with Women’s Health and Nursery Director Vicki Sarver to discuss the program.
Through this partnership, the Park County Library will donate over 200 books over the next year
to newborns and their families at Cody Regional Health. These books are specifically designed
to benefit infants by supporting early visual development and cognitive growth.
“Programs like Books for Babies are incredibly special because they support families at such an
important moment,” said Vicki Sarver, Director of Women’s Health and Nursery at Cody
Regional Health. “Reading to babies—even at the infant stage—helps build early brain
development, strengthens the parent-child bond, and lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
We are grateful to the Park County Library for investing in our families and our community.”
Research consistently shows that reading to children from birth helps develop language skills,
emotional connection, and early literacy. Even before babies understand words, hearing a
parent’s voice and engaging with books helps stimulate brain development and creates
comforting routines.

“The Park County Library believes it’s never too early to introduce children to books,” said
Francie Coe, Outreach Coordinator for the Park County Library. “Books are especially beneficial
for infants, and we are excited to partner with Cody Regional Health to place these resources
directly into the hands of families. Our library is a welcoming space for families, and we hope
this program encourages parents to continue reading together and to visit the library as their
children grow.”
This initiative is also supported through the mission of the Cody Regional Health Foundation,
which works to strengthen community partnerships and invest in programs that enhance the
health and well-being of local families. By helping connect donors, partners, and organizations,

life.
