CommitCody, Wyo. (Jan. 29, 2026) – Cody Regional Health is sharing an update regarding the
ongoing care plan for the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center as the organization prepares for a
planned provider transition later this spring.
While a physician departure is scheduled for April, Cody Regional Health has proactively
developed a comprehensive plan to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and uninterrupted
access to cancer services for patients throughout the Big Horn Basin.
“Our priority is, and always will be, our patients,” said Jennifer Ball, Cancer Center Director. “We
have a strong coverage plan in place, an experienced oncology team, and clear processes to
support patients through every step of their care. Our patients will continue to receive high-
quality, compassionate cancer care close to home.”
The Big Horn Basin Cancer Center will remain fully operational, offering medical oncology,
radiation oncology, and infusion services. Referrals will continue to be carefully reviewed, and
patients will be clearly informed about who will be involved in their care. The center is also
actively recruiting a permanent medical oncologist to further strengthen long-term services.

Executive Officer of Cody Regional Health.
In addition to clinical coverage planning, Cody Regional Health is continuing to invest in the
future of cancer care in the region. This includes preparations for the upcoming Linear
Accelerator Grand Opening later this spring, which will further expand access to advanced
radiation therapy close to home.
Cody Regional Health will continue to communicate with patients, staff, and the community as
plans progress and remains grateful for the trust placed in the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center.
