Cody, Wyo. (Feb. 2, 2026) – Cody Regional Health is proud to announce that it is now an
approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) testing site for the State of Wyoming, expanding
access to healthcare career pathways for individuals across the Big Horn Basin and surrounding
communities.
This achievement was made possible through the leadership and coordination of Shelly Kindt,
RN, Staff Development Coordinator at the Cody Regional Health Long Term Care Center, who
worked with Headmaster, Wyoming’s CNA testing provider to bring CNA testing services to
Cody.
Becoming a CNA testing site is a significant step forward for the region. Previously, individuals
pursuing CNA certification often had to travel long distances to complete required testing. This
new designation allows candidates to test locally, reducing barriers and supporting workforce
development in rural healthcare.
“This is a meaningful advancement for our community,” said Shelly Kindt, RN. “Providing a local
testing option helps remove obstacles for those pursuing a career in healthcare and supports
the future of long-term care and nursing across our region.”
Certified Nursing Assistants play a vital role in patient care, particularly in long-term care and
hospital settings. By offering CNA testing locally, Cody Regional Health continues its
commitment to strengthening the healthcare workforce and supporting access to education and
employment opportunities close to home.
Community members interested in CNA testing or learning more about this opportunity are
encouraged to reach out to Cody Regional Health for additional information.
