Hello, my name is Chance Bond. I grew up here in Cody. I played baseball at Buswell Field, rode my bike to the outdoor city pool. Went to Livingston Elementary, Cody Jr. High, and am a 1989 graduate of Cody High School. I wore the blue and gold of both the Cubs and the Broncs. I went to Sam Houston State in Huntsville, Texas, where I played Lacrosse for the Sam Houston State Bearcats.
I started my broadcasting career for Biff Beck at KYDZ radio during my Junior and Senior years of High School. I first hosted a sports talk podcast in 2009 called Football for Footballheads. It was successful enough to not only launch my sports talk career but also several others who would co-host the show with me.
I began my Play-by-Play career in 2011 for a company called Texanlive. Later, to become Dave Campbell’s Texanlive, I covered Softball, Baseball, Track, Soccer, Football, and Volleyball for High schools in the State of Texas. Some of my highlights include calling several Texas 6A High School State Championships. I also called games that included CeeDee Lamb and Garrett Wilson. Called games at Sam Houston State, Darryl K Royal Stadium, McClain Stadium, AT@T Stadium, NRG Stadium, an 85 million dollar High School Stadium, and many basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball venues across Texas, and Wyoming.
I was the play-by-play commentator for the Worland Warriors, where I called 7 State Championships. 5 soccer and 2 basketball. I’ve been back in Cody for 3 years now and am truly doing my dream job. I’ve been fortunate in Cody to have called 3 Football State Championships, 2 Volleyball State Championships, and 2 Soccer State Championships.
Along with doing a Wednesday night Sports Talk Show, the “Sports Stable,” I love being in this community that raised me.
