Maddie Beaudrie has signed a letter of commitment to the University of Mary to play Volleyball. Beaudrie will study Nursing at the Bismarck, North Dakota, Catholic University. Maddie is an All-Conference and All-State setter for the Cody Fillies Volleyball team. She had over 1000 assists this season. Shoshone National Forest Plans for Pile Burns

Cody, Wyo., November 20, 2025—The Shoshone National Forest will begin burning operations for slash piles in the coming weeks, pending all required approvals. This work will continue throughout the winter as weather conditions allow or until the work is complete. Pile burns are used to reduce overgrown vegetation and help protect local communities, infrastructure and natural resources from wildfires. UW Student Excels in NASA Research Program, Represents Wyoming at Regional Symposium

Laramie, Wyo. — Nov. 17, 2025 — Drea Hineman, a University of Wyoming student from Gillette, has earned regional recognition for her innovative space-farming research supported by NASA. Hineman is a senior majoring in plant production and protection in the UW Department of Plant Sciences. Healthcare wage gaps narrowed after COVID-19

A new analysis of U.S. healthcare wages before and after the COVID-19 pandemic found modest narrowing of pay gaps across jobs, education, race, and gender.  The study was published recently in Health Affairs.   Researchers found that among nonphysicians healthcare workers, aides, and assistants saw the largest wage gains, with earnings rising 13.6% between 2015 and 2024. By comparison, registered nurses and technicians had smaller increases of 3.8% and 1.1%, respectively.
