Game and Fish Cody Region to host public meeting on proposed changes to black bear hunting regulations

CODY— The Cody Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host a public meeting Nov. 17 to discuss regulation proposals for Chapter 3: Black Bear Hunting Seasons. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Cody Regional office, 2 Tilden Trail. The public is encouraged to attend to learn about proposed regulation changes and local wildlife populations, ask questions and to visit with Game and Fish biologists and wardens. Governor Gordon to Attend West Central States Wool Growers Meeting in Cody CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Nov. 6, 2025 – Governor Mark Gordon will attend the West Central States Wool Growers Meeting this Saturday, November 8 from 11:45am – 1:30pm at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Cody, WY.  The meeting hosts approximately 200 sheep producers from across the western states, namely, WY, ID, UT, and NV. CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Nov. 4, 2025 – Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) has ordered all flags to be flown at half staff for the death of Wyoming’s former U.S. Congressman and Former Vice President Dick Cheney. Flags will remain at half-staff until the day after internment. The Cody Broncs Football Team Play In The Semi-Finals For The 6th Year In A Row

The Cody Broncs Football team moves on to the Semi-Finals for the 6th year in a row. Since 2020, the Broncs have played in the Semi-Final game. In fact, the Broncs have played in the Wyoming 3A State Championship since 2020.  Cody will travel to Riverton for the Semi-Final game at Wolverine Stadium. This will be the second meeting of these two teams. Back in week 1, the Broncs won 55-38. Cody is 8-1 overall and 4-1 in conference. Logan Wilson Traded To The Dallas Cowboys

The University of Wyoming’s Logan Wilson has been traded from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Dallas Cowboys for a 7th-round pick—Wilson, who had asked for a trade because of reduced playing time. Wilson goes from the 32nd-ranked Defense to the 31st-ranked Defense. The Cowboys also traded for Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets, a former 1st round pick and a top Defensive Lineman. With the additions of both Wilson and Williams, the Cowboys hope to improve their Defense.

Cody Fillies Volleyball Advance to State

The Cody Fillies Volleyball team won the first 3 matches of postseason play with a 3-1 win over Powell, 25-15, 27-25, 23-25, 25-20. Cody would next play Pinedale (the host team) and get a 3-0 win, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20. The Fillies would play for the Conference Championship against the Lovell Lady Bulldogs. The West Regional Tournament was held in Pinedale over a three-day period. Cody would win over Lovell 3-1, 26-24, 23-25, 25-14, 25-23 to become the West Conference Champions.
