The Casper Star Tribune has released it’s 32nd annual Super 25 team.

The Super 25 honors the best high school football players in the state, regardless of positions or school classification.

Once again, the Cody Broncs are well represented.

Luke Talich, Jace Grant and Matt Nelson have all made the Super 25 1st Team.

Talich, who has committed to play football at Notre Dame as a safety, finished the season averaging 7.9 Defensive points per game. He had 41.5 tackles on the season, 22 solo. He had 3.5 tackles for a loss and 1 sack. Recovered 1 fumble and intercepted one pass while breaking up a couple of passes and had 2 defensive touchdowns.

Offensively, Talich passed for 152.9 yards per game while completing 62 percent of his passes. He tossed for 25 touchdowns.

Jace Grant was an anchor on both the offensive and defensive lines. While no stats are kept for O-Linemen, Grant did show his versatility as he lined up as a Tight End and Full Back multiple times over the season.

Defensively, Grant averaged 7.2 defensive points per game. He had 40 tackles, 10 solo. Grant had 8 tackles for a loss and 4 sacks and recovered 1 fumble.

Matt Nelson might be one of the best defensive backs you’ll see. He had one pick-six on the season. He averaged 6.2 defensive points a game. Posted 29 total tackles, 19 solo. He had 5 pass break-ups and 2 interceptions.

Offensively, Nelson finished the season with 516 total rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. He also caught 29 passes for 640 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Other area football players to receive Super 25 honors, as a part of the 1st team, are Lovell’s Ben Nichols and Zane Collins, as well as Shoshoni’s Pehton Truempler.

This story will continue to be updated as more information becomes available.
