Absentee Ballots Cast Already

Written by on August 21, 2018

It’s Primary Election Day in Wyoming.
According to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office, there have already been over 32 thousand ballots cast throughout the state through mailed and in-person absentee voting. Roughly 90% of those absentee ballots sent by Wyoming’s county clerks had been returned as of yesterday.
After the polls close at 7:00 p.m. today, election judges at every polling place or vote center will begin to securely relay unofficial election results to their respective county clerk. Once 100% of a county’s precincts have reported results to their county clerk, those same results are then securely relayed to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Election Division.
Election results are unofficial until the State Canvassing Board meets to certify the results of the primary election on Wednesday, August 29th – eight days after the 2018 Primary Election.
The Big Horn Radio Network will be live on the air tonight from 8 to 10 p.m. to bring election results from Park County as they are tallied. Tune in to 1400 AM or 96.7 FM to stay updated on the local races that will be determined in the primary election.
