Alpine Skiers Finish Top 3 in Casper, Nordic Skiers Strong at Pinedale

After a week off the Cody Alpine skiers were back in action over the weekend competing at Casper Kelly Walsh.

The Fillies would come away with a 2nd place team finish with the Broncs 3rd.

The Giant Slalom races took place on Friday with the Fillies Nicole Wagler coming 7th place. Taylor Dye and Catherine Lovera finished 9th and 10th respectively.

For the Broncs on Friday, David Reed, James Davis, Maddox Growney and Jaspepr Crofts would finsih 10th-13th, in that order.

During Saturday’s Slalom races the Fillies had four top 10 placers. Aspen Kalkowski led the way finishing 5th. Catherine Lovera, Nicole Wagler and Taylor Dye finished 8th, 9th and 10th in that order.

The Broncs on Saturday, shows James Davis finishing 8th with David Reed 10th.

The Cody Alpine Skiers will be hosting their own event next, January 29-30, at the Red Lodge Ski Area.

As for the Nordic skiers, they were in Pinedale on Saturday for the Laramie invite. No team scores were posted.

Leading the way for the Fillies was Elisa Wachob finishing in 4th place with a time of 26:11.

As for the Broncs, Hayden Campbell led the way with a 10th place finish, coming in with a time of 23:35.
