American Legion Baseball Returns To Worland

American Legion Baseball has returned to Worland.

Worland was the first American Legion Charter in the State of Wyoming.

The Worland Indians of American Legion Post 44 as they were called won American Legion State Championships in 1935, 1936, 1941, 1942, 1951, 1954, 1961, 1995, 1997, and 1998.

The team will compete at the Legion C level ages 13-15 and will be in the Northwest Quad with Cody, Powell, and Lovell.

The team will also play Lander, Riverton, and Buffalo.

The team name will be the Worland Chiefs over a dozen boys and girls have already committed and signed to play.

The initial cost for each player is $500 with fundraising opportunities to offset the cost.

No player willing to commit and do the work will be denied.
