Art Show and Sale Boosts Cody Economy

A weeks’ worth of celebration comes to its peak tonight.

Rendezvous Royale – an annual celebration of artistry and artisans in Cody – brings artists and art aficionados together for a week-long festival of workshops, gallery open houses, artist demonstrations and exhibits. Last night’s Art Walk down Sheridan Avenue was well-attended by visitors and locals, and the action reaches its peak tonight with the Art Show and Sale at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West.

Kathy Thompson, Director of the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, says 107 artists are represented in this year’s event, which brings a nice economic boost to Cody, and brings out the best in the community.

The annual auction is a major fundraiser for the Cody Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Center of the West. Last year’s event brought in over a million dollars.
