Bar and Grill Licenses Considered Tonight

Written by on July 18, 2017

The City of Cody has made two bar and grill liquor licenses available to the community, and two restaurants are vying for the awards.
At tonight’s Council meeting, there will be a public hearing on whether or not the licenses should be issued to Gasthouse Cardi, the new German restaurant, and Pat O’Hara’s Brewery.
City Administrator Barry Cook says that the Wyoming legislature made more of these specific licenses available to cities and towns in the state, and Council chose to advertise the availability of two of the four licenses granted to the City.

Cook says that originally there were three interested business owners, but the Cody Cattle Company chose to withdraw their request.
After the public hearing, Council will make their decision whether or not to grant the licenses. Cook points out that the Council is not obligated to provide the available licenses to any of the applicants.
