BHRN Raises Record Amount for St. Jude

The Big Horn Basin is raising a record amount of money for the kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The St. Jude Celebrity Dinner fundraiser on Wednesday evening at Cassie’s netted almost $7500 – that’s the most ever raised in the nine years that the event has been held, according to the Big Horn Radio Network’s business manager, Rita Conners.

This is year 11 for the Big Horn Radio Network’s Country Cares for St. Jude Kids radiothon, which is in its second day today. As of last night, donors across northern Wyoming had raised $47,670 to fund research that will help children diagnosed with catastrophic diseases.

The radiothon, which can be found on KZMQ at 100.3 and 102.3 FM, will run from 6 am to 6 pm today. The station’s parent company, Legend Communications, has raised over a million dollars for St. Jude since launching the radiothon in 2008.
