Bighorn Lake Search Continues

The search for two men missing on Bighorn Lake continues.
A boating accident on Saturday night claimed the life of a Billings woman, and put a man in the hospital, but left two other men missing. Search and rescue operations have been underway since early Sunday. 
Christy Fleming with the Bighorn Canyon Recreation Area reports that Potable Divers arrived on scene yesterday, with remote operated vehicles that can go deeper than divers and can take video and photos, and illuminate the bottom of the lake.
Two search dogs with Great Basin K9 Search and Rescue also arrived yesterday. The National Park Service’s Submerged Resources Center team continued to conduct sonar mapping.
Due to the increased activity in the search area, the area between dayboards 6 and 8 will be closed between 7 AM and 7 PM today.
