Black Ice on All Roads Out of Cody This Morning

All roads out of Cody have been impacted by the winter weather that blew in yesterday afternoon.
According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation travel information map, all roads out of Cody are currently covered in black ice, and drivers are cautioned to be careful during their morning commute.
The winds that blew this storm system in were particularly high in Park County, recording the strongest wind gusts in the state yesterday. According to the National Weather Service, at 12:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon an 87 mile per hour gust was recorded on the Chief Joseph Highway, and 73 mile per hour winds 10 miles northwest of Cody earlier in the day.
The Greybull airport logged a 52 mile per hour gust late yesterday afternoon, and 53 mile per hour winds ten miles south of Meeteetse.
