Blood Drive Needs Donors

A blood drive scheduled for next week in Cody is seriously under-booked.
Joshua Randall with United Blood Services out of Billings says that they need a total of 213 donors, and are also looking for two new volunteers at the check in desk. As of the beginning of this week, only 112 people had signed up to donate blood at the drive that will be held at the Cody VFW next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Randall says that the number of donors required is set according to the needs of local hospitals. He adds that the Cody drive in particular has been successful in the past, thanks to the way the community comes together to help save lives.
The Cody Blood drive will be open on Monday the 17th from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday the 18th from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 6.
