Two people are missing after a boating accident on Big Horn Lake Saturday.
The Big Horn County Montana Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call Saturday night regarding a boating accident near Dayboard 7. The report came from an off-duty deputy, saying there was a sunken boat with two individuals in the water.
One of the victims, Robert Ludwich of Billings, was located on the shoreline and life-flighted to St. Vincents in Billings. There’s no word as to his condition. However, the body of Billings resident Tammy Scoville was recovered yesterday morning. Two additional males are still missing, and Park Service and Coast Guard resources are assisting in the search.
While Ok-A-Beh Marina and Bighorn Lake remain open, boaters are asked to use extreme caution and asked to keep wakes to a minimum in the area of the lake between Dayboards 5 and 9, where operations are concentrated.
