COVID-19 confirmed at Northwest College.
Northwest College was notified of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in an unidentified person “within the campus community” sometime Monday night. The individual afflicted has been notified, as has everyone deemed to be at risk due to contact with this particular person. Those people, according to a statement released by the college, have taken the necessary cautions to reduce chances of spreading the virus to individuals within the Northwest College campus, and the Powell community at large.
On campus, the COVID Connection process and other NWC health and safety protocols have been enacted for the protection of the community. Anyone within this circle of concern will be contacted directly by either the Student Success Center and Human Resources staff. The college is currently and will continuing following the guidance of Park County Health officials in regards to this case and any possible cases in the future.
At this time, there’s no word on if or how this will affect campus accessibility. NWC administrators are approaching this case with the goal of ensuring the College will stay open throughout the entire fall semester.
There is no additional information at this time. More details will be presented once they are available.
